Ductless Air Conditioning in Birmingham, AL
The ducts are one of the most important parts of any air conditioning system, since these act as the delivery system that allows the cool air to reach your home. But many homes are built without any ductwork in the first place, and if you’ve ever looked into adding ducts, you know it’s a long, difficult process. Don’t put in one of those noisy window air conditioners as a compromise. Consider a ductless AC system, which can cool your entire home (or a single room) without draining your energy budget.
If you are looking for a ductless air conditioner for your home just contact the friendly professionals at Air Conditioning Experts. Or call us if your system needs service. Our quality of service cannot be beat, and we will work until we feel confident that the system is performing its best. Trust us to do the job right the first time and to make sure that you have the whole-home air conditioning you want without the hassle of ductwork.

How Does Ductless Cooling Work?
This is one of the questions we get asked the most often, and it’s really a lot like a conventional central air unit. Refrigerant moves through a refrigerant line from the air handler to the outside unit. As air from your home moves into the air handler—a unit mounted high up on the wall—the fan blows it past the inside coil and heat absorbs into the refrigerant gas. The coil cools, and air blows over it into the room. The refrigerant travels to the outside condenser unit where heat releases as it turns into a liquid.
Your technician will have to install the outside unit, mount the indoor air handler(s) to the wall, and drill a hole so that the refrigerant line can go through. There may be up to four air handlers for any single condenser unit, and each gets its own thermostat and is typically also controlled by a master thermostat.
The Benefits of Ductless Air Conditioning Installation
These systems often rate more efficiently than some of their ducted counterparts. And the systems we install are heat pumps, meaning they can be used for ductless heating and cooling. One final benefit (among many) is that a ductless air conditioning system has thermostats around the house which means your family members get zone control—the ability to change the temperature in one room without any complaints from members of the household in other rooms.
